Finance Manager – Startup Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Finance Manager to become the trusted finance partner for a portfolio of fast‑growing startup clients in central London. You will work closely with founders, providing end‑to‑end financial support from reporting and tax compliance to budgeting, forecasting and fundraising preparation. The role blends traditional accounting expertise with a technology‑first approach, leveraging AI and automation to enhance client service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of high‑growth startup clients and build strong relationships with founders and senior stakeholders.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Advise clients on budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and fundraising strategies.
• Provide guidance on a broad range of accounting and tax matters.
• Collaborate with internal software engineers to identify AI and automation opportunities that improve accounting processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance both client delivery and internal efficiencies.

Required profile

• ACA qualified (or equivalent).
• 2–3 years of post‑qualification experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Interest in technology, innovation and the future of accountancy.
