Finance Systems Business Partner

About the role

This position sits at the centre of a global, mission‑driven organisation’s finance transformation agenda. You will own the core finance systems, driving automation, insight and decision‑making across the business while partnering with Finance, IT and wider stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Own and govern the organisation’s core finance systems, ensuring they remain fit for purpose and aligned with business objectives.
• Act as the primary liaison between Finance, IT and business teams, translating operational requirements into effective system solutions.
• Develop and execute the finance systems roadmap, promoting continuous improvement, automation and user adoption.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and performance management through planning and reporting tools.
• Design and enhance reporting, dashboards and analytical outputs for senior leadership.
• Maintain high data quality, integrity and consistency across systems and processes.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers and system partners to maximise technology investment value.
• Champion process‑improvement initiatives that reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
• Lead finance system upgrades, enhancements and change projects from concept to implementation.
• Mentor and support users, building confidence and capability with finance systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience with finance systems, ERP platforms or performance‑management tools in a complex finance environment.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, controls, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Track record of improving finance systems and delivering enhancements that drive automation and better business insight.
• Ability to translate financial and operational requirements into effective system solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management skills, comfortable working across Finance, IT and broader business teams.
