Finance Trainee – Purchase Ledger Support

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Finance Trainee to join our team in Bottisham. This full‑time, office‑based position offers early‑career professionals the chance to develop finance skills in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process, match and input supplier invoices accurately.
• Handle staff expense claims and company credit‑card transactions.
• Set up and maintain supplier accounts.
• Investigate and resolve supplier queries.
• Support regular reconciliation and reporting activities.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.

Required profile

• Some experience in an accounts, finance or administrative role.
• AAT Level 2, 3 or 4 (or working towards) or equivalent qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Genuine interest in financial processes and numbers.
• Proactive attitude with willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Good Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables).
• Experience with finance or accounting software (desirable, not essential).
