Financial Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join the UK finance team of a global manufacturing organisation based in Banbury. The role is hybrid, with 1‑2 days on‑site per week and occasional travel to European sites. Fluency in Polish and strong English are required.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare full set of financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow.
• Maintain the general ledger and record daily financial transactions.
• Perform reconciliations and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors as the main contact.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Analyse financial data to identify improvements and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Provide reporting and insight to support management decision‑making.

Required profile

• Degree in finance, accounting, economics or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations and month‑end processes.
• Fluent Polish speaker with good written and spoken English.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP Business One (or similar ERP systems).
• Advanced Excel and data‑analysis abilities.
