Financial Accountant – Temporary (Rochdale)

About the role

This temporary Financial Accountant position is based in Rochdale and supports a fast‑growing manufacturing business with operations across Europe. The role is 100% office‑based and reports to the Financial Controller, offering the chance to contribute to financial reporting and process improvement during a period of sustained growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in line with regulations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Monitor and improve financial controls and processes.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Reconcile accounts and verify the accuracy of financial data.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance financial efficiency.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

Required profile

• ACCA/CIMA Part‑Qualified or qualified by experience.
• Experience in balance‑sheet reconciliation and a solid understanding of debits and credits.
• Background in financial accounting.
• Ability to commute to the Rochdale site five days a week.
• Willingness to start on a temporary basis.
