Financial Controller – Europe (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the financial control and reporting function for our European entities. Based in London with a hybrid working model, the role sits at the intersection of technical accounting and operational finance, reporting to the Group Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end financial control across European entities, ensuring accuracy of local and group reporting.
• Prepare statutory accounts in multiple jurisdictions, complying with local GAAP and IFRS.
• Lead the regional month‑end close, delivering timely results to the group.
• Ensure full tax compliance (corporate tax, VAT, local filings) and coordinate with local advisors.
• Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliations in line with group policies.
• Act as primary contact for local auditors and tax authorities.
• Maintain and develop internal controls, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Support the Group Financial Controller on technical accounting matters and rollout of group‑wide policies.
• Partner with finance teams and business stakeholders to ensure consistent data for group consolidation.
• Drive process improvement and system development, with a focus on NetSuite.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a financial controller or senior accountant in a multi‑entity, multi‑jurisdiction environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
• Experience in a SaaS or tech‑enabled services business.
• Hands‑on experience with NetSuite.
• Ability to work in a fast‑moving, scaling organisation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present to senior stakeholders.
