Financial Planning and Analysis Manager - Sports

About the role

We are a fast‑growing sports and media company looking for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join our UK & Europe finance team. The role will act as a finance business partner to senior leadership, providing insight and support for commercial and operational decisions across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior UK & Europe leaders to influence commercial and operational decisions.
• Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the region.
• Support the UK & Europe Financial Controller with monthly reporting and variance analysis.
• Produce regular customer, revenue and headcount reports to aid business planning.
• Develop long‑term financial forecasts and strategic plans.
• Own investment case modelling and track performance against assumptions.
• Assist with cash‑flow forecasting and ensure alignment with financial plans.
• Manage CapEx forecasting, monitor investment requirements and spend.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, improving reporting and automation.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and commercial insight to senior finance stakeholders.

Required profile

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong background in FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering.
• Proven experience managing budgets, forecasts, financial models and performance reporting.
• Excellent analytical ability to turn data into actionable business insights.
• Confident communicator with senior stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
