First Team Head of Medical

About the role

Burnley Football Club is seeking a First Team Head of Medical to lead the medical support for the Men's First Team. You will work closely with the club’s performance department to ensure a first‑class health experience for players, staff, and supporters.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the First Team Doctor and Head Physiotherapist to diagnose injuries and oversee rehabilitation programmes for the First Team.
• Partner with the Head Performance Coach to develop the medical philosophy, policies, and daily practices that align with the club’s football philosophy.
• Manage external referrals and maintain communication with multisport doctors and specialist consultants in conjunction with the First Team Doctor.

Required profile

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in elite football medical environments.
• Flexible approach to work, including availability for evenings and weekends.
