About the role

GLL is seeking a motivated Fitness Instructor to join the team at Rivermead Leisure Centre in Reading. You will help members achieve their fitness goals through personalised programmes, group classes and one‑to‑one guidance.

Key responsibilities

Collect and analyse client information to set short, medium and long‑term fitness goals.
Design, deliver and evaluate safe exercise sessions for individuals and groups.
Conduct inductions, teach classes and demonstrate equipment use.
Produce programme cards and adapt exercises to meet specific client needs.
Monitor technique, provide feedback and ensure a safe training environment.
Maintain equipment and support the centre’s operational standards.

Required profile

Good physical fitness and a can‑do attitude.
Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately.
Passion for fitness and a genuine desire to help others.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and confidence with members.
