FP&A Analyst – Management Accounting Role

About the role

This position supports a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed technology SME in Yate, near Bristol. The role offers early ownership of finance processes and direct impact on senior leadership decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of transactional finance through to P&L, including invoicing, reconciliations and journal entries.
• Standard costing, variance analysis and overhead allocation across projects.
• Inventory, stock and Bill of Materials (BOM) management, including physical vs system stock audits.
• Work‑in‑progress (WIP) and stock valuation, with regular audits.
• Management reporting and ad‑hoc analysis for senior leadership.
• Balance‑sheet reconciliations and fixed‑asset accounting.

Required profile

• ACCA or CIMA finalist, newly qualified or qualified.
• Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments preferred.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, process‑light setting and able to build structure.

Required skills

• Strong Excel and financial modelling abilities.
• Experience with Xero accounting software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
