Fragrance Development Chemist

About the role

We are seeking a Fragrance Development Chemist to lead the creation and optimisation of fragrance solutions across multiple product categories. You will work closely with fragrance houses, suppliers and internal teams to ensure each scent meets brand, performance and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support fragrance development from initial brief through to production.
• Translate project requirements into clear fragrance briefs for external fragrance houses.
• Evaluate fragrance submissions for brand fit, performance, cost and stability.
• Coordinate fragrance samples, data and technical information with suppliers.
• Monitor fragrance performance and stability throughout the development cycle.
• Maintain accurate fragrance documentation, trackers and libraries.
• Support regulatory, safety and technical fragrance requirements.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Experience in fragrance development or reformulation projects.
• Strong olfactive evaluation skills and deep ingredient knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight timelines.
• Confident communicator, collaborative and well‑organised.
