Freelance Construction Site Manager – Immediate Start

About the role

Build Manager is looking for an experienced Freelance Construction Site Manager to oversee multiple sites within a 30‑mile radius of Lincoln. This hands‑on position requires strong leadership, organisation and communication to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations across several projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and on‑site personnel.
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
• Maintain high standards of quality control and site presentation.
• Carry out short‑term planning and scheduling activities.
• Keep accurate site records and produce regular reports.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and CDM requirements.

Required profile

• Valid SMSTS certification.
• Valid CSCS card.
• 3‑Day First Aid qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar Site Manager role.
• Strong site management and organisational abilities.
• Excellent time‑keeping and record‑keeping.
• Keen eye for quality and detail.
• Good understanding of CDM regulations.
• Effective communication with contractors and senior management.
