Freelance Paid Ads Specialist: Meta & TikTok

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Paid Ads Specialist to lead our Meta and TikTok campaigns for a fast‑growing UK mortgage fintech. The role is hands‑on, responsible for end‑to‑end strategy, optimisation and scaling of the two biggest paid‑social channels.

Key responsibilities

• Own and optimise Meta and TikTok ad accounts, including structure, budgets, bidding, audience targeting and scaling to meet target CPA.
• Drive a disciplined creative testing programme by identifying winning creatives, briefing the Creative Strategist and retiring under‑performing assets.
• Monitor competitor ads and emerging formats, translating insights into clear creative briefs.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Growth and Creative Strategist in a rapid feedback loop.
• Report performance metrics, highlight scaling opportunities and outline next steps.

Required profile

• Proven track record managing significant Meta and TikTok spend, preferably for consumer apps, fintech or DTC brands.
• Strong understanding of app‑centric performance metrics such as CPA, CPI and ROAS, and ability to optimise against strict CPA targets.
• Sharp creative instinct and ability to brief creators and strategists effectively.
• Self‑sufficient, opinionated and fast‑moving decision maker.
• Fintech or regulated‑industry experience a plus.
