About the role

Join the opening team at The Wordsworth Inn in Grasmere as a Front of House Team Member. You will be the first friendly face guests see, helping to create a warm and memorable experience from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with a positive attitude.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
• Serve dishes and beverages, ensuring presentation and timing meet standards.
• Recommend drinks and menu items to enhance the guest experience.
• Handle payments, tips (Tronc) and maintain a tidy front‑of‑house area.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to deliver seamless service.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic and attentive with a passion for hospitality.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
