Full Stack Engineer – Innovation Team (Remote, UK)

About the role

Join the Innovation Team at Matomo to build privacy‑first analytics features. You will own the full lifecycle of prototypes and production‑ready solutions, working closely with the CTO and senior engineers in a fully remote UK setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and deliver new backend (PHP) and frontend (JavaScript) features that extend Matomo’s core platform.
• Work with additional technologies such as Python and Node.js when required.
• Rapidly explore, validate, and integrate AI‑powered insights and analytics ideas.
• Identify innovation opportunities across analytics, visualisation, integrations, and UX.
• Own ideas from concept through deployment, balancing speed with quality.
• Proactively resolve blockers and collaborate with a small autonomous team.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in backend development.
• Proven ability to deliver end‑to‑end product features in a remote, self‑managed environment.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and willingness to experiment.
