Furniture Technician

About the role

Castelan is seeking a skilled Furniture Technician to join its field‑based team across Stoke‑On‑Trent, Preston, Liverpool, Manchester and surrounding areas. You will work independently in customers’ homes and workplaces, delivering high‑quality repairs and exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Visit customers to assess and repair upholstery, leather, wooden furniture and related items.
• Diagnose faults and carry out professional repairs to a consistently high standard.
• Complete accurate reports and submit information promptly.
• Aim for first‑visit resolution while meeting quality targets.
• Promote furniture care products where appropriate.
• Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle to professional standards.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Aged 18 or over with a full UK driving licence (up to 6 penalty points accepted).
• Proven hands‑on repair experience with furniture, wood, leather or similar craftsmanship.
• Confidence working independently in customers’ homes.
• Professional, customer‑focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
