About the role

We are seeking a Gas Shift Operator to support a leading commodities trading house in London. The role focuses on managing gas positions, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth storage operations during all shift hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the physical gas position, including daily balancing and reporting.
• Coordinate transportation logistics for gas deliveries across the UK and Europe.
• Oversee storage operations, ensuring optimal utilisation of facilities.
• Execute out‑of‑business‑hours trading activities as required.
• Perform additional ad‑hoc duties to support the front‑office team.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of energy markets, particularly UK and European gas networks.
• Experience working in a front‑office environment with tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem‑solving and logistical capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
