GCSE English & Maths Tutor – Part‑time (5‑15 hrs/week)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced GCSE English and Maths tutors to deliver one‑to‑one tuition to secondary‑aged learners in Warrington. The role is part‑time, 5‑15 hours per week, starting September 2026, and focuses on exam preparation, closing learning gaps and building student confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised 1:1 GCSE English and Maths tuition.
• Design and deliver lesson plans aligned with the current GCSE curriculum.
• Assess student progress and give constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records of sessions and outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching GCSE English and/or Maths.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of the current GCSE curriculum.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• Two child‑related references.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GCSE English curriculum.
• Knowledge of GCSE Maths curriculum.
