GCSE Japanese Examiner – Fully Remote

About the role
We are looking for a GCSE Japanese Examiner to mark candidates’ responses remotely. The role involves applying the pre‑defined mark scheme to scripts, primarily using the ePEN on‑screen system, with a short period of training and marking between May and July.
Key responsibilities
- Mark exam scripts accurately and consistently in line with the official mark scheme.
- Submit sample scripts to the Team Leader by the scheduled deadlines.
- Adhere to marking milestones and complete all required administrative tasks.
Required profile
- Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Qualified teacher status (UK or overseas qualifications accepted).
- Minimum 5 months part‑time teaching experience in the relevant subject within the last 10 years in the UK, or recent assessment experience with a recognised UK exam board.
- High level of subject knowledge in Japanese GCSE.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ePEN marking platform (on‑screen marking).
