GCSE Maths & English Tutor (SEN) – Part‑time

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated GCSE Maths and English tutor to work one‑to‑one with students who have complex Special Educational Needs (SEN). The role is part‑time and temporary, offering flexible hours to fit around your schedule while making a lasting impact on learners in Twickenham.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised GCSE Maths and English lessons tailored to each learner’s SEN profile.
• Adapt lesson content, pace and teaching strategies to support emotional regulation and individual learning styles.
• Help students develop subject knowledge, study skills and confidence for exams.
• Build a trusting, consistent rapport to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to parents, carers or professionals.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience teaching or tutoring Maths and English.
• Experience working with learners with Autism, ADHD, SEMH or other SEN in a 1:1 or small‑group setting.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
