General Manager - JD Gym Peterborough

About the role

JD Gyms is looking for a General Manager for its Peterborough club. The General Manager leads the overall performance of the club, creates a positive environment for colleagues and members and drives operational excellence, membership growth and commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook, and maintain the JD Gyms Brand Standard
• Carry out daily, weekly and monthly safety checks, report defects and chase them until resolved
• Recruit and manage a team of employed Fitness Coaches and General Assistants, hold regular team meetings and support colleague development
• Aim to meet all sales and membership targets and maximise secondary spending revenue
• Keep the facility and the in-house cleaners' work to the highest standard of cleanliness
• Manage the weekly banking process so that wastage and variance are minimal
• Deliver outstanding member service and be an ambassador of JD Gyms

Required profile

• Experience leading teams and managing operations in a leisure, fitness, hospitality or customer-focused environment
• Experience contributing to membership growth, commercial performance, local marketing and business objectives
• Experience supporting operational delivery, people leadership and commercial performance
• Experience recruiting, supporting and developing colleagues
