General Manager – Pub & Hospitality

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead one of our cosy country‑style pubs. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving commercial performance and embedding the brand’s standards across the venue.

Key responsibilities

• Overall management of the pub in line with company procedures and brand standards.
• Lead by example with hands‑on training, coaching and development of the team.
• Engage with the local community to build repeat business and enhance the pub’s reputation.
• Maintain health and safety standards, including fire procedures and kitchen assessments.
• Ensure licensing compliance as Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS).
• Control stock, ordering, wastage and oversee budgeting for sales and labour.
• Prepare rosters at least two weeks in advance, adhering to labour budgets.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience as General Manager of a gastro‑style pub or equivalent hospitality venue.
• Proven ability to motivate teams and deliver high‑standard guest service.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L, sales and labour budgets.
• Highly motivated, proactive, reliable and able to work up to 48 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Right to work in the UK.
