About the role
We are partnering with an ambitious secondary school in Hemel Hempstead to hire a dedicated Geography & Religious Education Teacher on a one‑year fixed‑term contract starting September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students across both subjects.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated lessons in Geography and RE.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Contribute to departmental and wider school activities.
- Support learners of varying abilities to achieve strong outcomes.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Recent experience teaching Geography and RE in a secondary setting.
- Confidence teaching up to GCSE level (Key Stage 4).
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Passion for inspiring young people and raising attainment.
