Global Head of Collections

About the role

YouLend is hiring a Global Head of Collections to take ownership of collections performance across every market we lend in. This is a build role rather than a caretaker role, inheriting a 35‑person function and transforming it into a global powerhouse.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a global team of 35 people across the UK, Europe, the United States and analytics functions.
• Own the core metrics – cure rates, repayment speeds, cost‑to‑collect and losses – and drive continuous improvement.
• Design and evolve segmentation, treatment paths and contact strategies for all markets.
• Define the operating model, governance, workflows and performance cadence at global scale.
• Report to the General Manager of Collections and Recoveries and work closely with Credit Risk, Finance, Capital Markets and Technology.

Required profile

• Directly owned collections outcomes and KPIs, with the ability to explain decisions behind the numbers.
• Built or materially transformed a collections function, not merely maintained a mature one.
• Led global teams across multiple countries, cultures and time zones, managing through managers.
• Strong command of the credit and lending domain – delinquency, defaults, recoveries, roll rates, cure rates and credit losses.
• Comfortable using analytics, cohorts, vintages, roll rates, recovery curves and segmentation to make decisions.
• Thrives in ambiguous, fast‑growth environments with imperfect infrastructure.
