Global Head of Revenue

About the role

The Global Head of Revenue will lead the revenue lifecycle function for an international law firm across multiple jurisdictions. Reporting to senior leadership, this senior position is responsible for optimising financial performance, improving working capital, and establishing best‑practice billing, credit control and revenue reporting processes worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a global revenue control function across key international offices.
• Define and execute a best‑in‑class revenue management strategy aligned with firm objectives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on revenue performance, risk and cash‑flow.
• Oversee the full revenue lifecycle: time recording, billing, WIP management, collections and cash flow.
• Drive improvements in lock‑up (WIP + debtors) and overall working‑capital performance.
• Monitor revenue KPIs and implement initiatives to improve realisation and recovery rates.
• Partner with practice groups and senior fee earners to influence billing behaviours and collections strategies.
• Provide insight, reporting and actionable recommendations to partners and leadership.
• Ensure consistent processes, controls and governance across all offices.
• Lead process‑improvement, automation initiatives and system enhancements.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing global team.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in revenue control, working capital or finance operations, preferably within a law firm or professional‑services environment.
• Deep understanding of WIP, billing, collections and revenue recognition practices.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and partners.
• Experience managing global or multi‑jurisdictional teams.
• Track record of improving financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
