Graduate Aspiring Educational Psychologist – Dorking

About the role
This graduate position offers an aspiring Educational Psychologist the chance to work within a specialist school supporting children aged 3‑19 with severe learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. You will join a multidisciplinary team that includes Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, gaining hands‑on experience in a blended therapeutic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Work one‑to‑one and in small groups with students to support their academic and social development.
- Plan and deliver learning activities tailored to individual pupil abilities, in collaboration with teachers.
- Assist the therapy department by integrating therapeutic strategies across the curriculum.
- Provide pastoral support and help build confidence and motivation in students.
- Maintain clear communication with teaching staff and parents regarding student progress.
Required profile
- Passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Resilient and calm when faced with stressful or conflict situations.
- Willingness to work on‑site during term time, Monday‑Friday, 8:30‑15:30.
- Legal right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
