About the role
This temporary, full‑time position is designed for a recent graduate who wants to start a career in education. Based in Manchester secondary schools, you will help pupils in Key Stage 3‑4 manage their emotions and overcome barriers to learning.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Assist pupils with additional needs such as autism in regulating emotions during school hours.
- Utilise on‑site facilities, including a gym, to promote physical activity as part of behaviour support.
- Work Monday‑Friday during term‑time school hours.
Required profile
- Experience or knowledge of supporting children with SEN or SEMH needs.
- High levels of patience, empathy and resilience.
- Confident, enthusiastic and passionate about learning.
