Graduate MilSatCom Systems Engineer (2027)

About the role

Join Airbus Defence and Space as a Graduate MilSatCom Systems Engineer and embark on a two‑year development programme. You will rotate through key projects, receive tailored training and develop the technical and leadership skills needed to become a fully qualified Systems Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, integration and testing of satellite communications systems and subsystems.
• Support requirements definition, traceability and validation, and contribute to system architecture modelling.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including software, hardware and project management.
• Perform system performance analysis, trade studies and risk‑mitigation planning.
• Prepare documentation such as system specifications, test plans and design review reports.

Required profile

• A degree (or equivalent) in Systems Engineering, preferably with a focus on Satcom.
• Recent graduate or limited professional experience in Systems Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Motivation to work collaboratively and drive innovation.
• Self‑awareness and a proactive attitude towards personal development.

Required skills

• Experience with SysML or other MBSE modelling tools.
• Familiarity with Pforge or Jira for project tracking.
• Knowledge of DOORs requirements management.
• Use of Enterprise Architect or Cameo for system architecture.
