About the role
This graduate position supports children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school in Houghton Regis. You will work closely with pupils who need additional help to access learning, build confidence and achieve personal targets. The role offers hands‑on experience in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist SEN pupils individually and in small intervention groups.
- Support teachers in delivering differentiated lessons.
- Help develop communication and social skills for pupils.
- Monitor progress and report on individual targets.
- Collaborate with SEN professionals and school leadership.
Required profile
- A degree in any subject.
- Passion for supporting children and young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Patience, resilience and a positive attitude.
- Any prior experience with children, SEN, mental health or care settings is desirable but not essential.
