Graduate Teaching Assistant for Psychology Graduates

About the role
We are seeking Psychology graduates to join secondary schools across Croydon as Graduate Teaching Assistants. This full‑time, fixed‑term position starts in September 2026 and offers hands‑on experience supporting young learners in a real classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support students across Key Stages 3‑5, providing 1:1 and small‑group interventions.
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management and behaviour support.
- Help pupils with additional learning needs (SEND) as required.
- Contribute to the preparation of learning resources and monitoring of student progress.
Required profile
- Degree in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Genuine interest in child development, education and behaviour.
- Proactive, reliable and professional attitude.
Required skills
- Understanding of cognition, motivation and learning theory.
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people.
