Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary School

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support a secondary school in the W10 area of London. This full‑time, temporary position runs from September until the end of the academic year, offering hands‑on classroom experience for recent graduates.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day classroom support to the lead teacher.
• Assist in preparing and organising learning materials and resources.
• Supervise and engage students during lessons and break times.
• Help monitor student progress and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and school procedures.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (within the last 2 years) with a Maths or Science‑related degree.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (or willingness to complete it).
• Enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning and development.
