Graduate Teaching Assistant – Support for Neurodivergent Students

About the role
This full‑time position supports neurodivergent pupils aged 11‑14 in an independent school in North London. You will work closely with students who have moderate learning difficulties and autism spectrum disorder, helping them access the national curriculum.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group academic support.
- Promote an inclusive classroom culture and offer emotional support.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcement.
- Assist with lesson planning and delivery.
- Follow safeguarding policies to ensure student safety.
Required profile
- Right to work in the UK.
- Current, clear DBS check.
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant.
- Patient, calm attitude and ability to work under pressure.
Required skills
- Experience supporting students with moderate learning difficulties and ASD.
