Graduate Wing In-Service Repair Engineer

About the role

You will join Airbus on a two‑year graduate development journey to become a Wing In‑Service Repair Engineer. The programme combines technical training, soft‑skill development and rotational placements, giving you a comprehensive view of aircraft wing repair across the commercial fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Define and design repair solutions for wings ranging from minor fixes to major incidents, using CAD tools.
• Perform stress, fatigue and damage‑tolerance analyses to demonstrate structural performance of repairs.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure new aircraft are repairable and support full‑scale wing testing.
• Ensure all repairs meet certification, manufacturing and safety requirements.
• Complete rotational placements with airlines, maintenance organisations, Customer Services, Chief Engineers or Future Projects teams.

Required profile

• A degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Recent graduate or first‑professional experience in aerostructures design or analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Motivation to work collaboratively and drive future innovation.
• Self‑awareness and a proactive attitude toward personal development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools for repair design.
• Experience in stress analysis.
• Knowledge of fatigue analysis.
• Understanding of damage‑tolerance analysis.
• Familiarity with certification and manufacturing requirements for aircraft repairs.
