Head of Building Safety

About the role

As Head of Building Safety you will shape Premier Estates' safety strategy across a wide residential portfolio. Working closely with the Director of Health & Safety, you will translate regulation into practical actions that keep residents safe and informed.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and drive the building safety compliance programme, identifying and prioritising risks.
• Maintain a living “golden thread” of technical information for each development.
• Translate evolving legislation into clear standards, templates and training for site teams and suppliers.
• Partner with property managers, contractors and consultants to plan and track remedial works.
• Prepare concise reports, dashboards and briefings for senior stakeholders.
• Lead resident‑facing communications, delivering clear and empathetic updates on safety matters.

Required profile

• Building safety professional ready to step up with guidance from an experienced leader.
• Ability to balance technical detail with clear, resident‑focused communication.
• Proactive attitude, capable of spotting trends and recommending improvements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of building safety legislation and compliance processes.
• Experience managing risk assessments and remediation programmes.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
