Head of Business – Automotive Dealership

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Business to lead a family‑owned automotive dealership in the North West. Reporting to senior ownership, you will shape strategy, oversee daily operations and drive growth across sales, after‑sales and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute long‑term strategic plans to maximise profitability.
• Manage end‑to‑end dealership operations, ensuring high standards in every department.
• Maintain strong relationships with manufacturer partners and ensure compliance.
• Lead, motivate and develop teams to deliver exceptional service.
• Oversee financial performance, including KPIs, stock control and cash‑flow management.
• Champion continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Represent the dealership at industry events and stakeholder meetings.

Required profile

• Proven senior management experience in an automotive dealership (Head of Business, General Manager, Dealer Principal, etc.).
• Demonstrated success driving profitability and managing high‑volume operations.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to analyse business data.
• Comprehensive knowledge of automotive retail processes, from sales to after‑sales.
