Head of Financial Planning – Gloucester

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Financial Planning to lead a growing team of Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) at a chartered independent firm serving high‑net‑worth clients across the UK. This non‑regulatory position offers autonomy over your diary and adviser visits, allowing you to work flexibly while driving team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a small team of IFAs, providing training, mentoring and career guidance.
• Support advisers in expanding their client books and achieving revenue targets.
• Plan and organise adviser visits across the Gloucester area, balancing remote and on‑site work.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the firm’s growth strategy.

Required profile

• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning; Chartered qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a financial adviser.
• Proven experience mentoring or managing advisers, either formally or informally.
• Strong leadership and people‑development skills.
