Head of Landlord - Fire Safety

About the role

SNG is looking for a Head of Landlord Fire Safety to lead fire and building safety across its housing portfolio. You will safeguard residents and staff by ensuring compliance, shaping strategy and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Responsible Person – Fire, Building Safety Management and Fire teams.
• Ensure all fire safety duties for common parts of buildings are delivered, recorded and maintained.
• Drive compliance with fire safety, building safety and fire‑door inspection standards.
• Monitor legislative changes and embed a proactive compliance culture.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, especially in higher‑risk properties.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in fire and building safety within a housing environment.
• Proven leadership of technical specialist teams.
• Strong track record of meeting deadlines in complex, dynamic settings.
• Excellent customer‑service focus in a delivery‑focused context.

Required skills

• Level 6 Diploma in Building Safety (or working towards it).
• NEBOSH Fire Safety & Risk Management (Level 3).
• Practical Fire Risk Assessment – IFE Approved.
• Fire Risk Assessment – IFE Approved.
