Head of Property & Acquisitions – Europe

About the role

The Head of Property & Acquisitions for Europe will lead Chipotle’s restaurant real‑estate strategy across the UK, France, Germany and future markets. Reporting to the Director of International Development and working closely with the Managing Director, Europe, you will own the end‑to‑end process from site identification to restaurant opening.

Key responsibilities

• Lead internal and external teams to achieve growth targets across multiple European territories.
• Build, cultivate and manage a network of real‑estate brokers, developers and legal partners.
• Negotiate lease terms and contract conditions with a range of landlords, from small investors to institutional owners.
• Oversee each acquisition from market analysis and site selection through to opening, ensuring data accuracy in the project management system.
• Provide coaching and guidance to design, construction and broker teams, aligning them with strategic objectives.
• Conduct formal and informal market research to identify high‑potential locations and align with trade‑area priorities.

Required profile

• Proven track record in restaurant or retail real‑estate development and aggressive growth delivery in the UK and EU.
• Extensive network of contacts within the European real‑estate and development community.
• Deep understanding of local legal frameworks, lease criteria and restaurant opening procedures.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage post‑opening landlord issues.
• Willingness to travel up to 30 % across Europe.
