Head of Sales – Gift & Lifestyle Products

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Sales to lead the commercial growth of a design‑led consumer products business specialising in gift and lifestyle items. Based in South West England with a hybrid working model, you will shape sales strategy across the UK and international markets, driving revenue through key retail and distribution channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the UK and international sales strategy.
• Lead and expand relationships with major garden centre groups, national retailers and distributors.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
• Manage and nurture key customer accounts to maximise long‑term growth.
• Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to support successful product launches.
• Represent the business at customer meetings and industry trade shows.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to uncover commercial opportunities.
• Deliver accurate sales forecasts, budgets and business plans while ensuring profitable growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Head of Sales, Sales Director or senior national account leadership role.
• Background in gifts, toys, homewares, lifestyle or seasonal consumer goods.
• Demonstrated success working with garden centre groups and retail customers.
• International sales or distributor management experience is highly advantageous.
• Track record of delivering sustainable sales growth.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to lead from the front in a fast‑growing entrepreneurial environment.
