Head of Short Courses

About the role
As Head of Short Courses you will set the strategic direction, commercial performance and delivery of BIMM University’s short‑course portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you will work across faculties, campuses and central teams to build a sustainable, scalable offering that meets learner and industry needs while delivering an excellent student experience.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the growth of the short‑course portfolio, meeting revenue, profitability and recruitment targets.
- Own the short‑course business end‑to‑end, ensuring long‑term commercial sustainability.
- Partner with academic leaders to design a commercially viable mix of courses across disciplines and campuses.
- Develop and launch new courses, overseeing market positioning, planning and delivery.
- Establish consistent processes for portfolio planning, costing, pricing and performance management.
- Drive continuous improvement using student feedback, industry insight and performance data.
- Maintain high quality standards and an excellent student experience across all provision.
- Coordinate operational planning with campus teams and external partners.
- Collaborate with marketing, recruitment and admissions to maximise enrolments.
- Build partnerships with employers, industry bodies and external organisations to generate demand.
Required profile
- Proven senior leadership experience in education, training or related product management.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting revenue and profitability goals.
- Demonstrated success in developing and launching short‑course or similar programmes.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally across multiple campuses and stakeholder groups.
- Excellent analytical, decision‑making and budget‑management skills.
