Head of Training Delivery – Frontline Services

About the role

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) is seeking a senior leader to shape the delivery of frontline training for Driving Examiners, Enforcement Officers and Vehicle Assessors. This role provides strategic direction, ensures training aligns with government priorities and supports the agency’s vision for safer roads.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the design and delivery of operational learning programmes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR Business Partners and Strategic Workforce Planning, to align training with organisational priorities.
• Interpret Department for Transport policies and translate them into effective learning solutions.
• Lead and develop professional training teams, ensuring they meet evolving business needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and customers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior leadership within a public‑sector or regulatory training environment.
• Deep understanding of civil service frameworks and workforce development.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organisational change.
• Strong analytical skills to translate business intelligence into training strategy.
