Health & Safety Advisor – Path to HSE Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Health and Safety Advisor who will take ownership of the HSE function and progress towards a HSE Manager position. The role offers a high degree of autonomy, a blend of office and site work, and the chance to drive real improvements across a growing construction business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain health, safety and quality processes.
• Conduct regular site audits and inspections.
• Identify, assess and resolve health and safety issues.
• Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and company standards.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all sites.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
• Demonstrable experience in a health and safety role.
• Full UK driver’s licence.
• Motivated to join an SME and drive meaningful change.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Ability to conduct site audits and risk assessments.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reporting.
