Health & Safety Engineer – EPC (Construction)

About the role

Our client, a global manufacturer of power generation and combustion equipment for the petrochemical, oil and gas sector, is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Engineer to lead H&S responsibilities on multimillion‑dollar EPC construction projects across the EMEA region. The role combines on‑site presence with office‑based coordination, requiring frequent travel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain health and safety policies aligned with local and international regulations (e.g., OSHA, HSE).
• Create and update standard documentation packs, templates and process maps.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits and inspections throughout project lifecycles.
• Track engineer safety documents, qualifications and ensure all personnel, including subcontractors, are vetted before site mobilisation.
• Manage calibration and certification of critical equipment.
• Organise and deliver HSE training for site teams.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in HSE coordination/management within a commercial/EPC environment.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards such as NEBOSH, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Proven ability to lead audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work both on‑site and in the office.
