Health & Safety Manager – Manufacturing

About the role
The company is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Manager to lead HSE compliance for a manufacturing site in Widnes. You will own the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental policies.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and report HSE statistics in monthly meetings.
- Run hazard spotting, internal audits, accident reporting and workgroup meetings.
- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
- Monitor performance and drive strategic continuous‑improvement plans.
- Ensure effective record‑keeping, safe systems of work for contractors and visitors, and completion of risk assessments.
- Oversee PPE compliance and investigate accidents, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Required profile
- NEBOSH qualification (essential).
- Proven track record of HSE improvement in a similar role.
- Hands‑on approach with ability to lead change.
- Experience in the food industry (essential).
