Health Visitor – Children and Families (0.4 WTE)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Health Visitor to join the Children and Families Health Visiting team at Pollokshaws Health Centre in Glasgow. This part‑time permanent role (0.4 WTE) supports the Getting It Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) agenda by delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care to children, young people and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide needs‑led health visiting services to a designated caseload of children and families.
• Collaborate with health professionals and partner organisations in a multi‑agency setting.
• Deliver evidence‑based interventions and support to promote child health and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Registered Health Visitor or Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems and function as part of a team.
• Valid car driver’s licence.

Required skills

• IT skills – word processing, email and internet use.
