HGV Driver – Full‑time in Southampton

About the role

Join DPD’s national transport team as an HGV Driver, operating a modern fleet from Southampton to collect and deliver bulk parcels across the UK. You will work a Friday‑to‑Tuesday shift pattern, contributing to the company’s goal of sustainable, tech‑driven logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV‑friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and digital tachographs to follow routes and maintain 100% compliance.
• Maintain professional relationships with dispatchers and customers.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritize safe driving in all conditions.

Required profile

• Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) licence, CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum 6 months experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent knowledge of UK road networks and a safety‑first mindset.
• Resourceful problem‑solver able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
