HGV Skills Development Tutor (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an HGV Skills Development Tutor to deliver engaging training programmes for learners in the HGV sector. The role is hybrid, based at Trafford Park with one day remote per week, and offers a permanent full‑time contract.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver open days, taster sessions and information, advice and guidance (IAG) to attract new learners.
• Manage learner and employer caseloads to support retention and progression.
• Plan and deliver high‑quality face‑to‑face and blended learning sessions.
• Assess learner progress, monitor KPIs and provide constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the HGV or related vocational sector.
• 1–2 years’ experience in teaching, training or assessment.
• Teaching qualification (or working towards one).
• Knowledge of OFSTED or other quality standards.
• Strong communication, organisational and coaching abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital systems and e‑learning platforms.
