Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Special Needs) – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support children with special needs in an inclusive primary school setting. You will work closely with the Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) team to ensure pupils access the mainstream curriculum while receiving tailored support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist advice and assistance to pupils within the SRP framework.
• Facilitate inclusion of SRP children in mainstream lessons, clubs, and trips.
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and external professionals to personalise learning plans.
• Promote responsibility and participation in school life for all SRP pupils.

Required profile

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
• Enthusiasm for inclusive education and supporting diverse learners.
