About the role
Academics is seeking a passionate History teacher to join a well‑regarded secondary school in Pontefract starting September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging History lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting a diverse learner community that includes pupils with autism and communication needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver captivating History lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and improve the curriculum.
- Maintain strong classroom behaviour management.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all abilities.
Required profile
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Extensive knowledge of History.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree relevant to History.
