About the role
We are looking for a detail‑oriented Housing Benefit Quality Assessment Officer to join our team on a temporary, part‑time basis. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both from our Welwyn Garden City office and remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assess new and existing Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction claims accurately and efficiently.
- Verify and process supporting documentation in line with current legislation and local policies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Respond to customer enquiries and provide clear advice.
- Maintain accurate records and meet performance targets.
Required profile
- Previous experience in housing benefits assessment or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Housing Benefit regulations (preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and customer‑service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
